Leaving Sooner than expected

Hired just a year ago to return Oklahoma football to glory, Howard Schnellenberger is abandoning the rebuilding project after hardly lifting a hammer. Schnellenberger pointed his way out the door Monday, unexpectedly resigning after the Sooners posted a dismal 5-5-1 mark in his first season. But take heart OU fans, former coach Barry Switzer might be looking for work again soon.
